The SF Sketchfest Dozen: The Next Wave of Stand-Up Comedy Stars
SF Sketchfest presents a pairing from a dozen hand-picked stand-up comedians on the rise: names you might not know now, but will be hearing a lot from soon.

Having been here just over three years, Tone's first job in Hollywood was just when he joined Season Two of NBC's "Whitney" playing the role of RJ. The following year he starred in Fox's "To My Future Assistant" while continuing to tour and play gigs around the country as a standup. Tone starred as Tedward on NBC's "Bad Judge," and sold a show to FX that he Co-Created, is Writing, will Star in and Executive Produce. Additionally, Tone received his own 1⁄2 hour Stand-Up Special set to air on Comedy Central later this year. Currently, Tone is set to star as Russell in Will Packer & DJ Nash's new NBC show, "Truth Be Told".

A fixture of the LA comedy scene, Esther Povitsky co-created and starred in the MTV docu-comedy pilot "Little Esther," which chronicled her life as a young comic and her relationships with her mostly-male contemporaries. Esther also appeared in the New Faces Showcase at the 2013 Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and will appear on the upcoming season of "Last Comic Standing." Esther hosts the popular podcast "Weird Adults with Little Esther" (featuring interviews with fellow comedians) and has a vibrant web presence. She recently partnered with Refinery29.com bringing her stage show “What’s in Your Bag” to the digital world. Esther has made guest appearances on FOX's "New Girl" as well as NBC's hit "Parks and Recreation" and most recently Netflix’s Judd Apatow produced series "Love." Esther can also be seen on the MTV sketch show "Hey Girl," as well as on Comedy Central's "Adam Devine's House Party" and "Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!"
