Known as one of the most critically acclaimed theatrical Improv troupes in the country, The Improvised Shakespeare Company has been touring nationally and internationally at Performing Arts Centers and has been featured at Montreal's Just For Laughs, Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival, SF Sketchfest, Bonnaroo Music & Arts fesival, and last summer at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco where none other than Sir Patrick Stewart joined the group as a surprise guest player! The ISC has been named Chicago's "Best Improv Group" by both the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Examiner and has received a New York Nightlife Award for "Best Comedic Performance by a Group". The ISC has also been honored by the Chicago Improv Foundation as its "Ensemble of the Year". $35 All Ages

Joey Bland

Joey Bland has performed with The Improvised Shakespeare Company for nine years. In Chicago he also performs with multiple musical improv ensembles including Baby Wants Candy and The Improvised Sondheim Project. Also in recent years, Joey has often worked on unique projects with The Second City, collaborating with the Chicago Lyric Opera, collaborating with the Hubbard Street Dance Company, and playing a disgraced Illinois governor.
